Exciting News from Google I/O 2025

At Google I/O 2025, Google dropped a bunch of updates to Workspace, all powered by Gemini AI. Some are already live. Others? Just around the corner. Either way, we’re excited - and you should be too. 

What you can use right now

Break the language barrier in Google Meet - Gemini’s new speech translation feature makes meetings multilingual, no subtitles required. It translates what someone says into your language in near real-time. Think English to Spanish, Spanish to English - with more languages rolling out soon.

It even keeps the speaker’s tone and style intact, so it still sounds like them (just...in another language).

Available now in beta for Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers, with early testing for Workspace customers this year.

What’s coming soon

• Gmail that sounds like you - the new personalized smart replies use context from your past emails and files in Drive to write drafts that actually sound like you wrote them. So yes, your inbox might just write itself. 🕒 Expected later this year.
• Inbox cleanup, handled - tired of scrolling past ancient newsletters and long-forgotten alerts? Just tell Gemini to clean up your inbox and it’ll declutter things faster than you can say “unsubscribe.” 🧹 Launching next quarter. (Q3, 2025)
• No more email tag for meetings - Gemini will help you schedule appointments in Gmail without the endless back and forth. Just send your available times, let the other person pick, and boom - booked. 📅 Coming next quarter.

• Turn slides into scroll-stopping videos - Meet Google Vids. It turns your plain presentations into animated videos with AI-generated scripts, voiceovers, and even scene edits. It also cleans up your narration by cutting out filler words and awkward pauses. 🎬 You talk. It polishes.

• Better visuals with Imagen 4 - Need graphics that actually pop? Imagen 4 lets you create richer, more detailed visuals for your decks and docs. No design degree required.

• Writing help that knows your stuff - source-grounded writing in Google Docs lets you link background documents, then lets Gemini pull from them as you write. Less tab-switching. More getting stuff done. 📝 Expected next quarter.
