ICT service provider Incentro generated revenue of 22 million euros in 2014, a 35% increase from the previous year. This makes nine years in a row of positive growth for the company. This success can be traced to Incentro achieving, with flying colors, its two main goals of 2014: a positive Net Promotor Score (NPS) and a place in the ranking of Great Places to Work in the Netherlands.
The Dutch offices of Incentro achieved, on average, an NPS result of well over 10, and placed third in the Great Places to Work competition. The Spanish branch competed in the competition this year as well, coming sixth. The Turkish branch, in its first full year of operation, has started strongly and will soon also participate in this measurement of employee happiness.
“With these two simple and easily measureable goals, every Incentronaut knows when we are doing well. They also provide a good framework for decision-making. Incentro is an environment where employees have a lot of autonomy, and therefore a lot of trust, with less rules and a lot of room to make decisions for themselves. There is a shared sense of where we need to excel,” explains Adriaan van der Eijk, a management consultant at Incentro as well as an improvisational theater performer.
Incentro’s profit percentage increased slightly, to 18%. 10 percent of profits are distributed directly to all Incentronauts. The owners of Incentro (currently a quarter of the staff are also owners of the company) then decide where to direct the remainder. Much of it goes directly back into the company, in order to get start-ups like the Turkish office and the Dutch spin-offs off the ground.
“Incentronauts are selected for the core values of ambition, specialized skills, and success. Therefore, we have many employees who want to advance in their field and follow their dreams. With our good results, they have the luxury of being able to do so with their own resources,” says Rogier Duin. The newest Incentro ‘cel’ was launched on January 1, specializing in Business Acceleration.
