Inspired by Eckart Wintzen

By the end of 2007, Incentro almost had 40 employees and the organizational structure had to be adjusted. A new management layer? That would be at the expense of the entrepreneurship and the personal atmosphere. So no! The alternative: split the organization. On January 1st, 2008 a second establishment opened its doors in Rotterdam. 20 colleagues moved to the new Incentro office. Our cell model was born.

After opening seven establishments (five in the Netherlands, one in Germany and one in Spain) we are still enthusiastic about our choice. But now we speak from experience. The advantages:

  • Entrepreneurship
  • Responsibility
  • Trust
  • Personal atmosphere
  • Flexibility
  • Challenge
  • Pleasure

An Incentro establishment will never have more than fifty colleagues. The establishment will be split before it reaches this point. One half of the employees remain working at the current location and the other half moves to the new establishment. The same applies to the management. This allows us to take the Incentro culture and approach with us to the new establishment. And this way, we keep the organization flat and manageable.
